Welcome to The Toolbox at LisaKiftTherapy.com - an online mental health, relationship, therapy and counseling related resource full of articles, tips, tools, advice and several blogs to provide help for an assortment of mental health and relationship problems.

My name is Lisa Brookes Kift and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a psychotherapy practice just north of San Francisco, California where I do individual therapy and couples counseling. I'm the creator of Therapy-At-Home Workbooks(TM), a series of therapy alternative workbooks for couples to do together.

NEW! You can find me writing daily posts about marriage and relationship topics as the new San Francisco Marriage and Relationship Examiner at www.examiner.com!

-----------------------------------------------------------

I invite you to open up The Toolbox to find tips and tools to add to your own mental health and relationship "toolbox."

There are several different relationship blogs in The Toolbox:

Looking for answers to specific relationship questions? The following are some of the relationship topics you will find in The Toolbox:

Looking for mental health information? You will find a mental health blog associated with The Toolbox as well:

Mental health topics in The Toolbox include:

I believe a lot of the problems people have stem from relationships in some way - either current relationships or as far back as our parents who can sometimes unintentionally - or intentionally - do damage to the way we see ourselves (ex: I'm unlovable), others (ex: People can't be trusted) and the world (ex: The world isn't safe.). This can manifest itself via relationship problems, anxiety, depression, stress and other ways. My "family of origin" perspective is weaved throughout my therapy practice and writing.

Looking for a cost effective alternative to face-to-face therapy? Check out my line of eWorkbooks for couples under the name Therapy-At-Home Workbooks(TM). I have two workbooks available now and will have more in the future:

If you are looking for a therapist in the north bay area of San Francisco - or are a California resident interested in phone therapy, see my psychotherapy website at www.marintherapyandcounseling.com.

Lastly - the best way to keep up with me is to Follow me on Twitter where I update all of my online activity, writing and other ventures.

Warm Regards,

Lisa Brookes Kift, M.A.
